Charioteer driving quadriga walking to right, holding goad in his right hand and reins in his left; above, Nike flying right to crown the horses; in exergue, [ketos to right]. Rev. ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΟΝ Diademed head of Arethousa to right, wearing pendant earring and pearl necklace; around, four dolphins. Boehringer Series XVIa, 556 (V282/R3886). HGC 2, 1311. Lightly toned and of fine style. Struck on a slightly short flan with minor scratches on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
